INTERVIEW:
Tim DeLaughter of THE POLYPHONIC SPREE

cm: How did you hook up with John Cameron Mitchell?
td:
We were asked to do this tribute record for Hedwig And The Angry Inch, to benefit the Harvey Milk School, so when we played in New York he came to our shows and we all just hung out together for the week and he did the Hedwig song "Wig in the Box" with us. It was a blast.

kp: Do you have any projects/collaborations lined up with him?
td:
We are talking to him about playing a song in his film he's working on.

kp: Who else would you like to work with?
td:
I am so busy right now doing TPS I can't even go there. Something usually pops up, though, and I'm always open.

cm: How was your blackout?
td:
Dark and hot and full of anticipation.

cm: Who's Jigger?
td:
I'm laughing my ass off right now... He is one of my dad's friends that he grew up with. He named his son Chevis after the whiskey. The dad is Jigger and the son is the whiskey, and you look like Jigger to me, in the face, when he was younger. It's strange.

cm: Would you rule out animals performing with the Spree? Even monkeys or dogs?
td:
No I wouldn't rule it out.

kp: Do you have any questions for kittenpants?
td:
Yes. Who are you?

kp: I am the way and the light. I am the name the wind speaks when the wind is trying to impress his buddies, or make his girlfriend jealous. I am the hands down WIERD SCIENCE trivia challenge champion (No shit, Chet). I am the maker of dreams come true.

Also, I am the editor of this website. My name is Darci.

Thanks to Tim for the interview, and to all the Spree kids for making a three-day drive the most fun ever. Check out their new release, and upcoming shows on their website, thepolyphonicspree.com.
