I wasn't George Clooney's biggest fan, until this letter to Fox spin-hole Bill O'Reilly moved him up a notch or two in my esteem, prompting me to forgive him for the intolerable cruelty that was Intolerable Cruelty.

Postal Photo Ops
"On the 22nd of December 2004, Kyle Van Horn taped a disposable camera to a piece of black foamcore and inscribed upon it the following message: "ATTENTION POSTAL WORKERS! Please help us with our project. As this camera travels across the country we want photos of all whom it encounters. Please take a photo before you pass it along. Thank you!"

Kyle's original was pretty good, too, inspired by this really awesome mail art project by Daniel Farrell and Richard Kegler.

Punk is the new Pop
I blame Avril Lavigne. Since she started the anti-Britney movement of rebel princesses, the word "punk" has lost all its meaning. To be fair, she was first to admit she was neither influenced by, or even aware of, most of the punk bands she was accused of badly imitating.

Then Ashlee Simpson came hoe-downing onto the scene, performing "live" with pre-recorded tracks. Apparently, if you call her punk loudly enough, 3/4ths of the Ramones spin so fast in their graves, the resulting electricity can power your iPod. Remember when Stiv Bators had to cancel a show because of acid reflux?

Now, apparently, Little Lindsay Lohan is posing for punk. From Stereogum.com:

"In the rocker's new video (what, you didn't know LL was a rocker now?) for "Over," Lindsay's bedroom is decorated with posters of L7, the Dead Kennedys, and CBGB. Fingers crossed for a Lohan Germs cover on the Herbie Fully Loaded soundtrack!"

"Like she even knows who L7 and the Dead Kennedys are. She doesn't even know who the living Kennedys are."
