Dolly: "Hello"
According to this Yahoo News article, the Japanese elderly are getting cuddly with talking dolls--dolls with a 1200-phrase vocabulary. Some view the dolls as a welcome substitute for children who have grown and left them.

"'If you lead an orderly life, Yumel will be in a good mood, singing songs or pleading with you to do something like buying him toys...'"

One can only guess that if you do not lead such a life, the doll will get pregnant and leave you to raise the grandchild while it "figures things out" in a Las Vegas housing project.
