You may doubt the existence of a higher power, but shouldn't you force your child to marry a puppy just in case? I mean, if it meant that (the abstract concept of) evil would be kept at arm's length, shouldn't you consider a wedding between a dog and small child, in which "all customs normally associated with marriage were followed"?

It seems reasonable enough. It cerainly is a safeguard against having to perform an exorcism on your child. Right?
