Academy oversights
Once again, the Academy Awards seemed to overlook some of last year's best performances (at least Charlie Kaufman won an award for the otherwise-shafted Eternal Sunshine). And I think it's ironic that between host, Chris Rock, and winners Morgan Freeman and Jamie Foxx, no one acknowledged the first actual African-American woman to win an Oscar: Charlize Theron.

Rock, by the way, did "bring the pain," taking some great shots at the celebrity presenters. After one particularly mean-but-true intro ("When this next actor isn’t dazzling us with his acting ability, he’s boring us to death with his politics. Please welcome Tim Robbins!"), Robbins had this to say.
