Five Years - My Brain Hurts Alot

On Thursday, April 28, I take one step closer to the grave. Some people call it a birthday. I call it a birthday. I guess I'm conforming in my old age.

For the record, I'll be thirty-thsdkfjha... ahem! years old.

More importantly, KITTENPANTS TURNS FIVE!! And as local custom suggests, we thought it would be a fine time to gather together for drinking, dining, and the exchanging of compliments. So save the date, bitches! More details to come as things fall into place. We love it when a plan comes together.

Kick Out the JAM!
I shoulda told you about the MIDNIGHT PAJAMA JAM DVD taping earlier, as it is tomorrow night and totally sold out. So consider this an early notice of the coming DVD, and keep your eyes on the MPJ website for updates. I am apparently not that reliable.

Meanwhile, check out this message from the chairman. One last thing: for some totally unrelated Schmirnoff Ice recipes, tune into this archived WFMU program and fast forward to 1:11:11.

Nuts to You
I was surfing around and found this article about Elizabeth Tashjian, aka "the Nut Lady," whom I had the good fortune to meet a few years ago in her home/Nut Museum. I got the sense, even then, that her Lyme, CT, neighbors were less than pleased to host the museum (although I guess they're okay with having a tick-related disease named after them). My friends and I arrived unannounced, but Ms. Tashjian gave us the tour anyway, and we helped her rehang some sculptures torn down by neighborhood vandals. Her personality and her predicament remind me very much of my favorite (late) Aunt Kris, a nut lady in her own right.
