Stop calling it "intelligent" design.
In an effort to represent the alarming number of Americans who don't believe in evolution, a reader of a tech gadgets blog made this remarkably sound argument:

"Hey bud, I just read your article. I see you are not a believer in creation theory. Maybe you should hold on to your old CD player and wait a few thousand years to see if it evolves into an MP3 player. Makes about as much sense as evolution to me."

You know, I'd love to test that theory out, actually. If you can get Jesus to let me live a thousand years I'll let you know what happens.

"Maybe you should put two digital cameras in a room together and see if they make another digital camera. Makes about as much sense as human reproduction to me."

"To be fair, most modern CD players have "evolved" and can play MP3s that have been burned onto a CDR. I mean, I know that logic isn't as flawless as 'Terah begat Haran, and Haran begat Lot...,' but it's pretty close."

"They say laptop DNA is 98% identical to human DNA. Anyway, mine crashed 14 years ago and I'm keeping it on life support until they find a cure for Windows 3.1."
